If you’ve been following my journey for a while, you’ve probably noticed that there are a few things that remain constant for me. God, family, and poetry are the three pillars that shape my life, guide my choices, and keep me grounded no matter what life throws my way. These aren’t just words or concepts to me—they’re the core of my existence and my poetry books.

God: My Strength, My Guide

At the center of everything is my faith. God is my anchor, my light, and my strength. Life can be chaotic, and there are days when I feel like I’m walking in the dark, but I always know that I’m never truly alone. My faith has taught me that every challenge, every setback, is part of a bigger plan, even when I can’t see it. It’s through my relationship with God that I find the courage to rise, the wisdom to navigate tough times, and the peace to keep going.

God is the foundation that holds everything together, and when I’m uncertain, I turn inward, seeking His guidance. I trust that everything is happening for a reason, and that I am always being led in the right direction.

Family: The Roots That Keep Me Grounded

Family is everything to me. Not just the ones you’re born into, but those who choose to show up for you, love you, and support you no matter what. My family is my rock—my people who remind me of who I am when I forget, who love me unconditionally, and who are always there through the highs and the lows.

They’ve been with me through everything: the growth, the setbacks, the reboots of my social media accounts (yes, that’s a whole journey on its own). My family gives me strength, holds me accountable, and encourages me to keep pushing even when the road ahead is unclear. Their belief in me keeps me going, and without them, none of this would feel as meaningful.

Poetry: The Heartbeat of My Soul

Then there’s poetry—the way I speak my truth, the way I heal, and the way I connect with others. Poetry is my outlet. It’s the space where I can pour out everything I’ve experienced, both the beauty and the pain. When life feels overwhelming, writing brings me back to myself. It’s my therapy, my prayer, my reflection all wrapped up in one.

Through my poetry, I share my heart with the world. It’s how I make sense of everything around me and how I connect with people on a deeper level. I’ve learned that my words can heal, uplift, and inspire others, and there’s no greater gift than knowing that something I’ve written can resonate with someone else.

Poetry is the medium through which I process life, and it allows me to leave a piece of myself in every verse, every line. It’s not just my passion—it’s my purpose. Every word I write is a step toward healing, growth, and connecting with the world in a way that’s authentic to me.

Together: The Balance I Need

These three things—God, family, and poetry—are the pillars that keep me balanced. When one feels shaky, the other two remind me of who I am and what I’m here to do. They work together to keep me grounded, inspired, and connected to my purpose.

When life gets tough, I lean into my faith. I return to my family for love and support. And when I need to process, when I need to heal, I pick up my pen. These pillars keep me rooted, no matter where life takes me.

So, whatever you’re going through, I encourage you to think about the things that hold you steady. What are your pillars? What gives you strength when the world feels heavy? For me, it’s God, family, and poetry. They’ve been my constant, and with them, I know I’m never truly lost.
